Husker Fever

While in Nebraska, we asked Chris to take us to the University where he is in school, and show us around again. We went last Thanksgiving (2009), but it was locked, and we couldn't get inside the building. He's in the PhD program, so he has an office and taught his first classes this summer -- and he's loving it!

So we all got ready to go...  :o)  (aren't they cute?)

And some of us headed over to the University of Nebraska:

Chris, in his office

This is the classroom he taught in previously.
The NEXT one he's teaching in holds over 200 students!!

Then we went across the street to check out some NEBRASKA Gear!

Wearing "Corn Hats" and giving High Fives with Nebraska Hands!

Grayson & Sam each got hoodies, and wore them proudly
the whole time we were there, and since we've been home.
After the University, the guys dropped me off, and Dianne met me downtown, and we had lunch with Donna Snedaker, who used to live in Franklin, and now lives in Omaha.  In fact, we found out she and Cherlyn Call (see Bowl-A-Rama post) are friends, in the same ward in Omaha! Small World!

Donna Snedaker, me and Dianne Alexandre
Donna lived in Franklin when we first moved there, but moved away shortly thereafter, and we haven't seen each other for 21-22 years! We 'hooked up' again on FaceBook a few months ago, so I knew where she was. It was great to visit and catch up on each other's lives.

And...it's really funny, because the Alexandres knew the Snedakers before they moved to Franklin, when they lived in Nashville. Donna used to babysit for Dianne!  Donna was so surprised to learn that Dianne's daughter had married my son -- and that they live near her. REALLY small world!
