Christmas in Nebraska

Christmas morning was such fun, watching Colton & Rogan open their presents. There was such delight at each small gift in their stockings, and then at each present under the tree. They had to stop often, and just relish the things they had received, because each one was so exciting to them! We even waited to open some of the gifts until later in the afternoon.

One of the coolest things, and the first thing the little boys saw was this Car Mat that Nathalie made for them. It depicts Lincoln, Nebraska, and some of the fun places the boys are familiar with -- the zoo and a train, the fire station, the church, the University, a barn & cilo, a school, the airport, a lake, a gas station, the YMCA and their own house. SOOO cute, and the boys love it!

Grayson & Sam had most of their Christmas in Tennessee, so they helped the little guys a lot. It was fun for them to experience Christmas through toddlers' eyes, too.

Grayson did get one big item in Nebraska -- an iPod Classic! And Sam did get one big item, too, a LEGO Harry Potter castle set! They were both very excited about these gifts.

Looking at the Scrapbook I made for them from
our time together in August
One of the funnest gifts of the day came from Pops, he gave the boys NERF GUNS! And Grayson and Sam brought theirs from home, so the entire week we were there, there were constant NERF WARS! In fact, the little boys  (early risers) would wake up the big boys (late sleepers) in the mornings with NERF guns! And they'd jump on them, attack them, tickle them, and get them to come play! Chris and Nathalie often joined in the war-fun!

N*E*R*F  WARS!!

CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST...consisted of french toast, bacon and grapefruit! YUMMY!

Sam got a "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" book, and a matching ball cap. Rogan loved the cap!

We were taking so many pictures, Rogan got to where he would squint his eyes every time he saw the camera, so he wouldn't be blinded by the flash.

Later, the gang played Sam's new MONOPOLY U-BUILD. It is twist on Monopoly, where you can build the board differently each time, and configure it a bunch of different ways.

A yummy lunch...

...served up by a handsome young man!

And then it was time for...

Love the similar positions they're all sitting in...Grayson & Sam
protecting their necks from their shirts, Colton & Rogan with
their hands in their mouths. They'll probably develop the
"Harris Neck Thing" when they get older.

Rogey loves to help mommy in the kitchen!

Sam introducing the "Angry Birds" game on Grammy's phone.
Colton became a big "gamer" with that thing!

Grammy helping Rogey shoot the little cannon arrows
from Colton's new pirate set -- over, and over, and over...

More Christmas Fun to come...!
