Corizon ACA in Kissimmee

Corizon was able to officially launch our new (merged) company into the Correctional Healthcare marketplace at the American Correctional Association (ACA) conference in Kissimmee, FL (Orlando) in August. Quite coincidentally, it was at the Gaylord Palms, the exact same fancy resort where the TSFL convention was a couple of weeks earlier, so I could actually find my way around without getting lost!

but it was always so packed we didn't get to actually eat there.

Since we were in Florida, they even had GATORS inside the hotel. That was kinda cool -- in a creepy way.

The convention started with the trade show, where we had our NEW BOOTH and some very cool giveaways including little die cast Corizon pins that were very popular! We had our signage and logo everywhere -- were the hit of the show, and everybody was talking about CORIZON. It was AWESOME!

I was in charge of our big BEACH PARTY reception on August 7th where we invited clients, potential clients, and had lots of Corizon folks there. It was a huge success! Afterward, one of our executives, Larry Pomeroy, who had enjoyed quite a bit of wine at the event, wanted to buy the surf board, but unfortunately didn't have $1000 in his pocket, only $538!  (who carries that kind of cash?!) Big Laughs!!

The next night after the trade show, several of us went out to a local 'hot spot' called Bahama Breeze, with great food and live entertainment from a Jamaican one-man-show who was actually pretty good! We were seated right in  front of the stage, and he kept calling Mike Viers his "Manager" and asking him questions. (Funny, but guess you had to be there...) We have a great business development team, some of them new through the merger, and it was fun to spend time getting to know them. Janet and I got to see a whole 'nother side of these guys, and we all laughed a LOT!

I have to say, I LOVE my job!
