Early July

This is one of my favorite photos of Grayson and Sam (circa 2004). So little, so sweet...so excited about a 4th of July dessert I made! HA!

This year for 4th of July Randi, Keri Reed and the boys came over, we grilled out, hung out. It rained all night on the 3rd, and continued on the 4th, so the fireworks were cancelled. That would have been fun to go to as a group!

Sam baked some cookies before everyone got there...when we were still hoping to take treats to the fireworks.

Then, because it was raining and he was bored, he put lots of wrap around his AIRSOFT GUN and went outside to shoot in the rain...he was cracking me up. He came in soaking wet!

Is it so much to ask for a normal smile, guys? Sheesh! At least Cielo & Andrew know how. (Grayson's friend Davis on left)

The boys needed haircuts, so Keri was going to do them at our house. Don't know quite how it was decided to give Andrew a Mohawk -- but Andrew was all for it when the time came!

Then it was Bryson's turn...normal haircut, please!

We ran out of time before Cielo's turn, and they had to go home.

A few days later, we celebrated our BIRTHDAY TRIO on July 8th!

As sort of a last-minute thing, I texted Davis that afternoon and asked if he would like to come over like at 9pm that night (after we got home from Danielle Stolworthy's wedding reception) and have cake and ice cream -- and bring some friends! It was all a surprise to Grayson, so that was fun!

Good group of guys -- they all sat around and talked and visited and laughed...and then after most of them left Grayson and Davis went to pick up the brand new "NCAA 2014" game that he got for his birthday, that came out at midnight on July 8th -- but they couldn't get it until the next day due to some technicality. Anyway, Davis spent the night, and they played FIFA and other video games until like 3am...Good times!
