"The Idi-Odyssey" is a farce about the Homer's Odyssey, with a bunch of students having to stay after school for detention, and having to learn about the book. The characters from the book actually come to the classroom and tell them them story. It was very entertaining! I was very impressed with the talents of the students! Of course, "EDGAR the MATH NERD," the famous Sam Harris, was the hilight of the show for us!
This was Sam's first time to wear makeup (good thing!)... and he wasn't a fan...but at least it was just pancake, blush, and a little eyeliner. Didn't have to wear lipstick!
| Sam's Cast Buddies: Gavin Thompson, Sam, Justin Kievit, Will Hudson, Will Riddle, and Sam Tallyn (The King, haha). |
Sam was supported by LOTS or family and friends. Randi and the boys came, with friend Kerri Reed. The Bennetts (Michelle, Hannah and a friend), Nancy & Jim Harris (Nancy is Sam's piano teacher), and Christine Parris...

Sam partied down at the CAST's AFTER-PARTY, and his favorite thing was dancing to "Party Rock Anthem, and some Justin Bieber, and some Hannah Montana"...oh, the days of 6th grade fun!
He's considering trying out for the next play, but it is a musical, and he's worried they'll make him sing a solo (even though I've assured him they won't make him if he doesn't want to!) And then the OTHER play they're doing is for Black History month, and he's not sure he wants to do that one...so we'll see! Hopefully the Thespianism has gotten into his blood at least a little bit.
