Father's Day

We had a very nice Father's Day. It started with breakfast in bed for Dad, Randi and the boys came to church with us, and we had a yummy dinner -- with STEAKS grilled by Grayson the grill-master!

We had yummy dessert, and later SKYPED with our Nebraska family!

Janice Long - Octogenarian!

My dear friend, Janice Long, turned 80 YEARS OLD on June 25th. I took her to lunch at her favorite place, "Puffy Muffin" in Brentwood. We had a lovely time. I haven't gotten to see her for awhile, and it was good to catch up on everything. I can only hope that I will be as active and as "young" as Janice is when I turn 80!

Also, she is a big fan of the watches Mom makes (she owns about a dozen of them) so I special-ordered one for her all out of big pearls and silver -- she likes them "the biggah the bettah." The watch was beautiful and she LOVED it, but I forgot to take a photo! I'll have to see if Mom took one.

We had a great time. What a sweet friend...

Nebraska Lasts

Some last photos of the kids before Chris & family leave Nebraska and head out for North Carolina in just TWO MORE WEEKS!

We can't wait to see them when they stop in Tennessee for several days on the way to their new home! Woot! Woot!

Sky Power

Some nights on my way home from work, I feel like the SKY is somehow speaking to me. It's so beautiful & serene, it's just breathtaking! One of those drives happened recently, and I couldn't help but snap photos as quickly as I could. These kinds of SKIES whisper to me peace, hope and calmness in my busy life.

Corizon Turns TWO!

It seems strange when I think that TWO WHOLE YEARS have gone by since we were in the throes of the merger between my company, PHS, and our biggest competitor, CMS. We became Corizon on June 3rd, 2011. It's been a long, and admittedly difficult, two years but we are now beginning to see the fruits of our labors as we see things starting to turn around for our company, and see the merger pay off.

We had a week-long celebration of our 2nd birthday, which included an employee picnic, a birthday party, treats delivered to everyone's desks on a couple of days, a 'Hawaiian Break' and a Gift Card Giveaway in 'Happy Birthday' Presents.

Our picnic got rained on a little bit, but we still fit in some dancing, and a Tug-o-War! I was directly behind Rich Hallworth, our CEO (no pressure), but we all got pulled over the line...As you can see, some of the folks at the back of the line were unaware the TUG had begun! H - E - L - L - OOOO!
Some of our CTeam: Scott King (CLO), Dennis Wade (CHRO), Jon Walker (CDO), Rich Hallworth, (CEO), Marty Moore (CFO)

Some of the Marketing Team: Briana Lutes, Jennie Latimer, Melanie Taylor, Holly Rawnsley, Janet Vogelaar,
me, Jaime Starkey (new Social Media Specialist).

Birthday Party Kickoff with Corizon logo cookies & cupcakes!
We Went Hawaiian!

The last day of the week we had about 25 gift cards wrapped on a table, and had a drawing to give them away. Jon Walker (my boss) emceed the event, and it was hilarious watching everyone's anticipation and excitement. The gift cards ranged from $10 to $100, so there's a good reason for some excitement! It built at the end until there was screaming and running, and even HUGGING when they won. (It was like Monty Hall on "Let's Make a Deal!") It was so funny, and we captured a little of it on camera.

Happy, Happy Birthday, Corizon! Here's
to many more successful years together!
