Baby Grands

My friend Susie just got a gorgeous new baby grand piano for her music room.  She loves it so, and it sounds beautiful when she plays. She is such an accomplished and talented pianist. I love to do duets with her, I sing, she plays....ahhhhh.

I have my own baby grands! And they are sooooo sweet and beautiful! To hear them call me "Grammy" is music to my ears. I love them so...

Being a grammy is just...well, GRAND!

Dunce Cap

Okay, so through some strange brain malfunction, I determined recently that I'm going to finish my degree.

Yes...your gasp(!) and pause were audible. It's okay, really. I'm letting this sink in...wait for it, wait for it...

I'm actually going back to school. There, I said it, I'm going to be held accountable, I have witnesses, and I'm going to have to actually do what I said I'm going to do.

I've talked about it for years, and the time has finally come.
So, in a blatant attempt to avoid taking Algebra and failing it miserably (c'mon, I barely passed Algebra I as a freshman in high school!), I'm currently taking a remedial algebra class taught by a good friend of mine, in a small group (3 students). I'm actually sort of understanding what she is teaching!! My hope is that with literally 1-on-1 instruction to the enth degree I can learn enough to test out of the class at the local Community College. Math is my biggest FEAR. If I survive that, I'm going to finish my Associates degree at the college, and then do my Bachelor's on-line in General Studies with an emphasis in Communications.

I currently work as Director of Marketing Communications for a national corporation, and have over 30 years experience in the work force, for heaven's sake! Please tell me most of the subject matter I will be learning will be pretty familiar to me from what I do every day. If not, I'm just sunk.

Because remedial algebra is already blowing what was left of my mind...

Your prayers would be appreciated.

Baby Boo-Boo

Poor little Rogan fell down the stairs and got a spiral fracture in his wrist. Awwww.... isn't that the cutest little face (and cast) you've ever seen?

But he's going to be okay...15 days, and the cast comes off!

Memorial Day Fun

Since we have three birthdays in May (Sam, Andrew & Randi), and the Memorial Day Holiday, we sort of combined a family celebration of all the above. Randi provided a group birthday cake, and we partied on! Randi's friend, Crystal, and her little Sariah joined us for a day of fun, grillin' and chillin'.

Justin Time

If you have an elementary schooler or "tweener," you know who Justin Bieber is. Well...I've heard him sing, and can't quite see what the big deal's about, but I guess he's the Donny Osmond of today. Boys and girls alike think he's a pretty cool rock star.

Personally, I think it's all in the hair...
