Seeing "The Utah FAM"

One of the cool things about traveling out west for work is that I can take an extra day or two, adjust travel plans a bit, and visit family while I'm out there! So after we finished filming at the Wyoming Prison, instead of flying to Nashville, I flew into SLC where mom & dad had come down from Idaho, and we all converged on Lori's house for a few days!

We went to the new Cheesecake Factory downtown SLC, where Dan, Sherri, Seth and Ashley joined us for dinner. They have completely re-modeled that area of downtown with lots of nice, new upscale shops and stuff. It's really nice!  And dinner, of course was fabulous, and the company was even better!

We had a great time just "hanging out" at Lori's house. Corinne and Jasmine came over, and we had a fun watching YouTube videos, trying to convince Dad that Brad Paisley's funny songs are funny, playing games, eating good food, laughing, talking, laughing some more...we even did a little (gasp!) shopping! [If you know Lori, you know how she HATES to shop. But Mom and I 'forced' her to go, and she actually survived.]

 

And we took a GAZILLION photos, because that's what you do when you never see each other.

 



 

 

Becca even gave us a fashion show of some of her new school clothes!

 

 

 

Dad just finished CHEMO in May, and he has a 'bum hip' that keeps him from doing a lot of active stuff he's used to doing. But he wanted to show us that those things would keep 'any LESSER man down,' but NOT HIM! HAHA  So he came running up the stairs and put his arms out and said TA-DAAAAH! We were rolling...that was SOOO DAD!
