Sam has decided he wants to be in the school band. (HOORAY!! Don't tell him how excited I am about that!) So last night was the Freedom Intermediate School 5th grade band orientation for summer/fall. They used to start band in 6th grade, but this year are letting 5th graders play! Sam says it's totally because he's a 5th grader this year -- they had to make the change just for HIM!
He tried out the trumpet, clarinet, trombone and baritone. We don't know for sure which one he likes best, or will pursue, but right now he's leaning toward the baritone. FABULOUS! Although it probably weighs about the same as him, I'm fine with that. As long as it's a musical instrument -- Hooray!!
