Dead Cherokee

Well, after months of very expensive bandaids, surgeries, and breakdowns, the Jeep Grand Cherokee finally has died of old age. It has not actually given up the ghost yet, but this dear 1995 vehicle is very close to gasping its last breath. It still looks good, but the internal organs are worn out. We were actually hoping it might be a 'run-about' for Grayson in about a year and half when he gets his Learner's Permit. But alas, 'tis not to be...we are not going to be able to keep it on artificial life support any longer...so, so long, old friend.
We are the proud new owners of a 2005 Buick Ranier...the "shiny red sports car" for old folks! So far, soooo good! We've owned it now for three days, and it's feeling pretty nice! My personal favorite parts are the very cool headlights, and the very warm seats (they heat up on the seat and the back, ahhhhhh, great for someone like me who's always cold).

Here's to lots of good times together in our new (to us) vehicle. It doesn't happen often at the Harris House, so it must be celebrated.

Nice wheels! It's even Husker red. Guess that means it needs a trip up here soon.

I love your red car---very cool lookin' and oh
how neat to have a warm "seat" when ya need it.
Do you drive this one to work or does Steve? Ain't it grand to have new wheels...red at that!!!! I remember back when you had another "little red wheels"--but it ended up in a ditch. Oh well, memories!!
Lookin' forward to August---realllllllly.
Love ya all--enjoy the gifts and times. They are precious. Being old isn't so much so.
Love ya,
Mom
