The SUN is Not Our Friend

The first of June, Grayson & Sam went swimming with some friends...it was just as the days were starting to get really hot, and they put on sunscreen...ONE TIME...all afternoon...in 94 degree heat!

They both got very sunburned (yes, even macho Grayson), but Sam's fair skin got FRIED! This was taken about 2 weeks AFTER the fact, and Sam's shoulders were still sooooo sore and tender. We ended up taking him to the doctor and putting silvadeen on his shoulders, which is the stuff they put on really bad burn victims.

It finally got better, but I just hate that it happened to my boys! I hope there is no permanent damage...Sam especially was one miserable little puppy...lesson learned, but a very hard way!
